Constitutional Korero and
Dinner + Karaoke Social

On the Monday after their retreat, the CTWS headed in to the city to the Constitutional Kōrero, where we heard from indigenous thought leaders from around the world, and from home, including Whaea Ani Mikaere, Dr Claire Charters, Whaea Annette Sykes, Dr Andrew Erueti and Justice Joe Williams. We also linked up with other ALN members, Don Lye, Meri Haami, and Amarind Hun Eng. The conference looked at indigenous futures in Aotearoa, how our constitution can be transformed to better give effect to Te Tiriti and He Whakaputanga (the Declaration of Independence).

We also made sure not to pass up on bringing together other Tāmaki members and friends we made at the Conference over some food and singing!
